Dior lip gloss

I prefer to imagine lipstick oil as the lip gloss’s conscious counterpart. She is for hikes. She eats organic and vegan. She takes care of herself. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t a fan of dressing up and having a good time.

The lipstick oils of 2023 don’t have to be just a cosmetic that you apply before going to bed or heading to the store. Various modern formulations give the appearance of a striking lip gloss while also giving your lips a soft, silky feel. One of the most popular products on the web moment is the Dior Addict Lip Gloss Oil. It’s all over TikTok, Instagram, and Instagram, but as is the price of $38 — which is why we wanted to know if it is the game-changer that girls claim?

The Beauty Bible, Now in a Newsletter

Its Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil does it well: It looks just like a gloss for lips and performs as the treatment. Its formula is slick and non-sticky available in seven distinct shades to create a better-than-your-lips shade. (There’s also an unscented version that you can try if that’s your preference.) It has a beautiful vanilla-mint scent makes me wish it were designed to create a subtle sensation.

Ingredients and Formulation

Ingredients Reviewed by Cosmetic Chemist Ginger King and Makeup Artist Delina Medhin.

Dior Addict Lip Gloss is filled with cherry oil that makeup chemist Ginger King claims helps moisturize dry lips. “[Cherry oil] is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamin E, and phytosterols,” she declares. “It’s also an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties.”

King says that the oil’s slippery appearance and thick consistency are due to a mix of glutamate, polyisobutene, hydrogenated polyisobutene, and styrene-based polymers. The magic of changing color comes from D&C Red 27, which changes color when it comes into contact with moisture.

The makeup artist from New York City, who is also the creator Delina Medhin, loves the formula as it’s “sheer and feels comfy.” Its soft texture is an added benefit when she’s applying it to clients (and even using it for herself).

Key Ingredients

The main ingredient in Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil is cherry oil (an emollient). This formula is in line with what is called the Allure Clean Standard.

How I Tested It

I tried the lip oil, the only method I could think of -by applying it when my lips felt parched. I put it on before starting my day and immediately noticed its pigmentation. (It was light. However, it was flattering.) I wore it to test how well I hydrated my lips over the day.

My Honest Thoughts

The whole process that comes with applying Dior Lip Glow is satisfying. Its doe-foot applicator features an oversized, round tip that pops out with a delightful soft squish. Using it smoothly and making my lips look fresh is a pleasure.

Every Product In My Beauty Collection: The Beauty Lover

The color is what made me appreciate this product. The shine will eventually fade and is rubbed off by a cup of tea or snacks. The pink tint remains to make my lips look fresh and hydrated. I must apply the oil every five to six times during the day to maintain the perfect, glossy appearance; however, it’s well worth it.

Before and After

Check out the results: After the beginning, it lay down on my lips in a thin slick and embraced their contours as a well-fitted dress. After it had almost been removed, my lips appeared hydrated with a shimmer and a slight hint of color.

Pricing and Value

This Dior Addict Lip Gloss Oil costs $38 for 0.2 1 ounces. (0.2 ounces might seem like much, but it is similar to the size of other oil.) It’s expensive, but it’s not a costly lip oil. Least expensive lip product on the market. Lip treatments similar in size can come with prices up to $85.

Do you think it’s worth it? I enjoyed Dior Addict Lip Glow; however, as someone who uses lipsticks often, I have several favorites that are cheaper (and more durable). But I’m a girl always looking for alternatives, so I’d consider adding this to my usual routine, mainly if it is for sale.

Where to Buy It

You can buy the tub of Dior Lip Glow in stores and on the internet on Dior (obviously), Ulta, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and Neiman Marcus. The eight lipstick shades offer stunning sheer hues, but you should visit the nearest retailer to find the one that flatters your lips the most. (Pro tip: Considering the sheerness of these colors and the formula’s longevity, I would suggest going toward the darker shades if you have lips that tend to be more brown than pink.)

No matter what you buy, it will make your lips appear much more “alive” and well-moisturized once you put it on. Also, since it’s Dior, it’s likely to feel a bit more luxurious.
