Hot Oil Treatment

Take a Break from Heat

If you must style your hair, use a heat protection spray or serum. This will reduce damage caused by heat, as it forms a protective layer around your hair.
Blow Drying Techniques
Try to dry your hair as naturally as possible. If you’re in a rush, you can also blow-dry your hair. Use a round brush with a ceramic base and a large toothed bristle. The cool setting on your blow dryer will cause less damage. Keep the blow dryer at 15 cm from your hair, and keep moving it so it does not blow on one section for too long.
Say No to Chemicals
Avoid products that contain ammonium laureth or sodium lauryl sulfate. Both are harsh industrial cleaners and can damage your hair. Most shampoos contain these ingredients. These chemicals are known to cause hair loss and hair thinning ( 1). Use shampoos that are made with organic and natural ingredients instead of sulfate-based shampoos. They will be gentler on your hair. They seal in moisture and give you soft, smooth hair.
