Red pepper and almond dip

Most dips and hummus sold in stores contain sneaky preservatives. Make your own. Recipe for Red Pepper Almond Dip:

INGREDIENTS:

  • You can purchase these in a jar at a supermarket or deli.
  • 1 C of Roasted Almonds (blanched or with skins).
  • Two teaspoons cumin seeds (dry toasted for 1 to 2 minutes in a pan)
  • Use two tablespoons of grassy olive oil
  • Salt is a taste.

PROCEDURE:

  1. Blend all ingredients (except salt) in a food processor until smooth.
  2. Salt to taste and adjust accordingly. Add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder if you prefer a strong flavor of cumin.
  3. Warm flatbread is a great accompaniment to any meal.
