Most dips and hummus sold in stores contain sneaky preservatives. Make your own. Recipe for Red Pepper Almond Dip:
INGREDIENTS:
- You can purchase these in a jar at a supermarket or deli.
- 1 C of Roasted Almonds (blanched or with skins).
- Two teaspoons cumin seeds (dry toasted for 1 to 2 minutes in a pan)
- Use two tablespoons of grassy olive oil
- Salt is a taste.
PROCEDURE:
- Blend all ingredients (except salt) in a food processor until smooth.
- Salt to taste and adjust accordingly. Add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder if you prefer a strong flavor of cumin.
- Warm flatbread is a great accompaniment to any meal.
