Raw Cacao and Maca Bars September 15 2014 by Simone Denny


  • 150g Raw Cashew Nuts
  • 150g Raw Almonds
  • 300g moist Dates – pitted and roughly chopped
  • 2T Maca Powder
  • 3T Raw Cacao Powder (or Cocoa Powder)
  • 2T Coconut butter/oil
  • 2T Agave Syrup


  1. Add chopped dates, cashews and almonds to the food processor and process until the texture is coarse – this does a long time! (add half the coconut oil and continue to mix)
  2. Once combined add the remainder of the coconut oil, raw cacao and maca powder until the mixture reaches a moist but firm dough consistency
  3.  Scrape the dough mixture into a 24 x 30cm baking tin, press firmly and evenly until mixture is flat in the plan
  4. Chill for at least an hour and cut into desired shape
  5. Store airtight container (I tend to keep mine in the fridge)
